The House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management is slated to hold a hearing Tuesday morning, titled “Ensuring Transparency in the Federal Government: An Examination of GSA’s Site Selection for the FBI Headquarters,” to discuss the location of the FBI headquarters.
In early December, a coalition of Virginia lawmakers called on the Biden administration to pause on the relocation of the FBI headquarters to Maryland, citing a potential conflict of interest as the General Services Administration weighed the selection of a new site, as The Hill reported.
According to the committee, Elliot Doomes, commissioner of Public Buildings Service, General Services Administration; and Nicholas Dimos, assistant director of Finance and Facilities Division, FBI, are expected to testify.
The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. EST.
