President Biden on Thursday is slated to speak at a VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, to mark the one-year anniversary of the PACT Act being signed into law.
The bipartisan law was the most significant expansion of benefits and services for veterans exposed to toxic chemicals in decades. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has doled out nearly $2 billion in benefits to veterans and their surviving beneficiaries since it was signed in August 2022.
Biden will be joined at the event Thursday by Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R).
The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.
