Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) released an advertisement for his gubernatorial campaign on Monday in which he shows his support for President Trump by teaching his child to “build the wall” with blocks.
“Everyone knows my husband Ron DeSantis is endorsed by President Trump,” DeSantis’s wife, Casey DeSantis, says to open the ad. “But he’s also an amazing dad. Ron loves playin’ with the kids.”

“People say Ron is all Trump, but he is so much more, I just thought you should know,” Casey DeSantis says as the advertisement ends.
The ad comes less than a month before Ron DeSantis, who has represented Florida’s 6th District since 2013, faces state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam in the Republican primary. DeSantis plans to air the advertisement “statewide across Florida” on Tuesday, according to the Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale.
The newspaper notes that his campaign did not offer specifics regarding where it would run and how much would be spent on it.
The ad will begin airing across the state the same day Trump headlines a rally for DeSantis in Tampa, Fla.
The Republican candidates are running to succeed GOP Gov. Rick Scott, who is term limited and running for the Senate in Florida. DeSantis currently leads Putnam by 12 points, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
