A Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train derailed near the Atlantic Terminal in the Brooklyn borough of New York City early Wednesday, injuring several dozen people.
{mosads}At least 76 people were injured, according to ABC News.
The derailment occurred on Track 6 of Atlantic Terminal, which services both the LIRR and New York’s MTA subway system.
Passengers said there was a loud bang and a jolt that sent people flying, according to The Associated Press.
The incident took place at about 8:20 a.m.
