Clinton ad: Trump ‘seems to be impressed’ by dictators

A new ad from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign highlights Donald Trump’s praise of “powerful and dangerous dictators.”

“These are some of the most powerful and dangerous dictators, and Donald Trump seems to be impressed,” a narrator says in the clip released Sunday.

{mosads}The spot then features Trump’s comments about North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and Iraq’s Saddam Hussein.

“You’ve got to give him credit,” Trump says of Kim. “He wiped out the uncle. He wiped out this one, that one. I mean, this guy doesn’t play games.”

“Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right?” Trump then asks. “You know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good.”

Another segment shows MSNBC host Joe Scarborough questioning Trump’s compliments of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Putin’s been a very strong leader for Russia,” says Trump, now the GOP’s presumptive presidential nominee.

“He is also a person that kills journalists, political opponents and invades countries,” Scarborough replies. “Obviously that would be a concern, would it not?”

“He’s running his country, and at least he’s a leader, unlike what we have in this country,” Trump responds.

The commercial concludes with text questioning what kind of president Trump would be.

Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, has frequently said Trump’s judgment and temperament render him unfit for the Oval Office.
