The Hill’s 12:30 Report: GOP delegates plot to stop Trump | Pro-LGBT hacker hijacks ISIS on Twitter | Sanders not ready to concede | Monday gun votes in Senate | Lynch hitting Sunday shows | Sushi donuts are now a thing (ugh)
JUST POSTED – THIS IS BAD NEWS BEARS FOR TRUMP: Via The Washington Post’s Ed O’Keefe, “Dozens of Republican convention delegates are hatching a new plan to block Donald Trump at this summer’s party meetings, in what has become the most organized effort so far to stop the businessman from becoming the GOP nominee.” Why now: Trump’s sinking poll numbers, racial attacks about the federal judge and comments on gun control. Why this is different than other efforts: It’s not pundits and the media talking about it. It’s the people who can actually do something. http://wapo.st/1tuaMRP
We made it. It’s Friday and the Finding Nemo sequel “Finding Dory” is out in theaters today! I’m Cate Martel with a quick recap of what you missed this morning — and what’s on tap for the rest of the day. TO BE A LEMMING, OR NOT TO BE A LEMMING. THAT IS THE QUESTION: In an excerpt from an NBC “Meet the Press” interview airing Sunday, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) says Republicans should follow their conscience when deciding whether to endorse presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. “I get that this is a very strange situation. He’s a very unique nominee.” I.e.: Help. http://bit.ly/1UnngUm
{mosads}PROBABLY NOT A QUESTION YOU LIKE BEING ASKED ALL THE TIME: Bernie Sanders‘s campaign manager Jeff Weaver was asked if Sanders is still running for president and responded, “Yes he is, yes he is, yes he is. He is an active candidate for president, yes.” Terms we all understand: That’s like being asked if your belligerently drunk friend is sober enough to get into a bar. Yes, yes, yes, yep, yup, promise. http://bit.ly/1Un5oJn Why now: Weaver’s comments came after Sanders told supporters in a speech Thursday night that he wasn’t conceding yet. Sanders said he would help defeat Donald Trump but also wanted changes in the Dem platform. http://bit.ly/1UDKDX5
NEWS TO WATCH FOR MONDAY — WELL THE ‘FILIBUSTER’ GOT DEMS A VOTE: Via The Hill’s Jordain Carney, the Senate will vote on four gun-related bills on Monday — two Democratic, two Republican. First: Sen. Dianne Feinstein‘s (D-Calif.) proposal to allow the attorney general to block the sale of guns if someone is believed to be involved with terrorism. Second: Sen. John Cornyn‘s (R-Texas) proposal would allow the AG to delay suspected terrorists from getting a gun for 72 hours. Third: Sen. Chuck Grassley‘s (R-Iowa) measure reauthorizing and providing funding to incentivize the sharing of mental health records. Fourth: A proposal from Dem Sens. Chris Murphy (Conn.), Charles Schumer (N.Y.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) expanding background checks. http://bit.ly/1ZW8ndb
STEP 1: ADMIT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM: Republicans are divided about how Donald Trump can dig himself out of the hole that his campaign is in, but they agree on one point: The first step is admitting he has a problem. The Hill’s Niall Stanage crowd-sourced with GOP insiders on whether Trump’s willing to change and if so, what he can do. http://bit.ly/1ZWdWZ9
I BET MCCAIN’S TEAM REALLY COULD USE A WEEKEND: Yesterday, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said that President Obama was “directly responsible” for the mass shooting in Orlando. Why: Because Obama allowed for the growth of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria during his presidency. Latest update: McCain walked his comments back, saying he misspoke. “I did not mean to imply that the President was personally responsible. I was referring to President Obama’s national security decisions, not the President himself.” http://bit.ly/1V1dcOa
NIIIIIIIIIIICE: An anonymous hacker has hijacked ISIS Twitter accounts and posted gay pride messages. The hacker, who goes by WauchulaGhost, has hacked into over 250 ISIS accounts over the past month, originally posting explicit pornographic images “to humiliate them.” http://bit.ly/1QbOjTX
ANNOUNCED THIS MORNING – UBER OFFERS FREE RIDES TO LGBT CENTERS: Uber is offering free rides to LGBT centers around the country this weekend. Customers will be able to access two credits each worth $20 – for gay bars and community centers. In Washington, the locations include Nellies and Cobalt. Full national list: http://bit.ly/1XZrtSK
FATHER’S DAY IS A GREAT PR MOVE: Speaker Ryan‘s (R-Wis.) perfect Father’s Day: a Democrat-free House and dreams of ObamaCare’s past dancing in his head. Just kidding. His team did release a video describing how his family celebrates Father’s Day. 20-second clip: http://bit.ly/1V18yzF

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR WHAT I’M ABOUT TO TELL YOU: Sushi burritos seemed a little excessive, but now sushi donuts (?!) exist. Don’t worry, there’s no chocolate involved and they’re not deep-fried. But still, let’s file this under “OH COME ON, AMERICA.” http://huff.to/1YvvRHj
POPULAR ON FACEBOOK — THIS KID IS LITERALLY MY HERO: An eight-grader used his eight-minute graduation speech to impersonate Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. What’s he doing for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner?? http://n.pr/1tu6jPe
And with that, here is a socially awkward dog that has no interest in playing with the other dogs in the pool. I feel ya, little dude. http://bzfd.it/1UYph6E
