Tebow and Romney will both be winners, according to owner of New York Jets
TAMPA, Fla. — The owner of the NFL’s New York Jets on Wednesday said he is very confident that Mitt Romney will be the next president and Tim Tebow will thrive in the Big Apple
Woody Johnson, a prominent Romney backer, approved the controversial off-season trade that brought Tebow from Denver to New York.
{mosads}Asked on the convention floor if Romney will be more successful than the Jets’s backup quarterback, Johnson smiled and told The Hill, “They’re both going to be winners.”
Johnson said Romney just “needs to be himself” and contrast his vision with President Obama’s record when he formally accepts the GOP nomination Thursday night.
Johnson acknowledged he gets “a little blowback” from Jets fans for his support of Romney, but indicated he can handle it.
