At least 3 new cases of the Wuhan coronavirus have been confirmed in California on Sunday, according to an AP report. This brings the state total to six cases.

One case is located in Santa Clara County, and two more are in San Benito County.

Health officials told the press that the Santa Clara case involves a woman who recently traveled to Wuhan, China, the city where the virus was first identified. The woman and her family are currently quarantined.

This is now the second reported case of the coronavirus in Santa Clara County. But officials stated that it is unrelated to the first case.

The two other cases in San Benito county involve a husband who recently traveled to Wuhan, giving the virus to his wife upon returning home.

Currently none of the patients involved in the three new cases are hospitalized.

These cases come after the World Health Organization (WHO) classified the coronavirus outbreak as a public health emergency Jan. 30, while more than 17,000 cases of the virus have been reported across the globe.

The current U.S. total of coronavirus cases is 11, with other cases reported in Tacoma and Chicago.

No U.S. fatalities have been reported.
