Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R) has been suspended from Twitter for one week for reportedly violating the social media platform’s rules, according to CNN.
The suspension comes after Greene on Monday tweeted that COVID-19 vaccines were “failing” and should not receive full approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Twitter labeled the tweet as misleading and has suspended Greene’s account for a week.
“The account will be in read-only mode for a week due to repeated violations of the Twitter Rules,” a Twitter spokesperson told the news outlet.

According to Twitter’s policy on COVID-19 misinformation, a user’s account can be locked for a week if they violate its COVID-19 policy four times, and permanently banned on the fifth violation.
Greene was most recently suspended from Twitter for 12 hours in July for tweeting falsely that COVID-19 isn’t dangerous for anyone under the age of 65 who isn’t obese as well as other misinformation relating to vaccines.
Greene’s office and Twitter did not immediately respond to Changing America’s request for comment.
