Uber users can now view a breakdown of how their rating is calculated and see exactly how many five- or one-star ratings they received from drivers.

The company announced Wednesday that the new feature is accessible on the app’s new Privacy Center.

Riders simply need to select privacy and then Privacy Center in the settings menu using their online account or a mobile app, then swipe right to find the “Would you like to see a summary of how you use Uber” option. After selecting the summary tile, users will scroll down to “View my ratings” in the “Browse your data” section.

Users will then have access to a rundown of all their ratings, both good and bad.

A rider’s rating is based on their last 500 trips, the company said, before listing Uber drivers recommended ways users might boost their ratings.

Drivers told the company that riders should never leave a mess, use their seat belt, be on time for the ride, and be respectful to both the driver and their car — don’t slam the car door, for example.

Approximately 93 million people used their Uber app each month in the fourth quarter of 2020, data shows. The company gave 5 billion rides the same year.
