Sen. McCain: Daughter thinks I’m a ‘nice zombie’

Despite the government’s recent contention that zombies don’t exist, Sen. John McCain isn’t so sure.

The Arizona Republican, a big fan of the zombie-filled AMC series “The Walking Dead,” seemed skeptical when we inquired about what he thought of the statement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that came amid a rash of gruesome, cannibalistic incidents across the United States.

{mosads}CDC spokesman David Daigle told The Huffington Post last week that his agency “does not know of a virus or condition that would reanimate the dead (or one that would present zombie-like symptoms).”

On Tuesday, McCain, 75, said with a sly smile, “I think that it’s a subject for extensive debate on the floor of the Senate. Maybe it would be a more productive debate than most of those we’ve been having.”

When reminded he once told ITK the reason his 27-year-old daughter, Meghan, also loves “The Walking Dead” is because “she thinks her father is [a zombie],” McCain reaffirmed the notion.

“She does. But she thinks that I’m a nice zombie — sometimes.”
