Juice Bar caters to an organic clientele
The Green Juice Bar at the Mint gym in Adams Morgan leaves you with a great first impression. Its interior is retro, with low tables, armchairs and pillows in earthy colors. The atmosphere feels fresh and light with giant windows in a small bar setting.
But you don’t go to Green to look at the furniture; you go to drink the smoothies, iced coffees and juices, all made from organic products. The drinks can be elaborate concoctions. The iced maca mocha coffee is made with almond milk, cacao, cayenne, maca and raw sugar. The strawberry and kiwi smoothie is a pleasure to sip.
An interesting choice for a post-workout drink is the blue-green grapefruit juice, a beverage whose color conjures images of probably-not-nearly-as-pleasant-tasting algae. The iced juice was fresh and tasted like it was squeezed right out of a grapefruit.
