Issa hires new press secretary and communications liaison: House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform ranking member Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) hired Stephanie Genco to the committee’s press office. Genco will be press secretary and communications liaison. She previously served as press secretary for the Homeland Security Committee under ranking member Pete King (R-N.Y.).
{mosads}Risch gets new legislative director: Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho) hired Chris Socha as his new legislative director. Socha recently served as senior policy adviser to Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). His duties include supporting Risch’s legislative priorities, in particular those related to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources and Foreign Relations committees. He will replace Corey McDaniel, who moved to India with his wife, who works for the State Department.
Rep. Lucas hires new staff assistant, promotes former one: Rep. Frank Lucas (R-Okla.) hired Kyle Domnick as a staff assistant. Domnick, who had been an intern for Lucas, is originally from Chickasha, Okla.
Lucas promoted Jason Grassie to legislative assistant. Grassie, who was born in Brazil and grew up in New Mexico, interned for Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) during the summer of 2009. He was hired as a staff assistant for Lucas in September.
