Finding love on Roosevelt Island: Scott Lively and Kristen Yeiser got engaged on May 8. Lively, who is Rep. Louie Gohmert’s (R-Texas) legislative director, took Yeiser, who is Rep. Frank LoBiondo’s (R-N.J.) scheduler, on a walk around Roosevelt Island after work and popped the question.
“A couple of years ago, I had the day off for my birthday and Kristen hadn’t started work yet after moving to D.C., so I asked her to have lunch with me and go to the movies,” Lively said. “In an attempt to prolong our time together, I suggested after the movie that we go for a walk on Teddy Roosevelt Island.”
