Jindal won’t rule out another run for office

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal isn’t ruling out another bid for public office as he prepares to leave his post as governor Monday.

“In the short term, I’m focused on the private sector,” Jindal told host John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on New York’s AM-970 on Sunday. “Never say never.”

{mosads}Jindal is entering his final 24 hours as governor, a position he’s held for eight years.

Jindal has also ran for president in 2015, after successfully winning two races for a U.S. House seat in 2004 and 2006. Before that, Jindal held government jobs managing the healthcare sector, and was once an adviser to the Bush administration.

The one-time rising star of the GOP suspended his presidential campaign in November after several months of polling in the single digits.

The 44-year-old said he will likely work in the private sector, focusing on his conservative think tank America Next.

Jindal will be replaced by Democratic Gov.-elect John Bel Edwards, who defeated the scandal-plagued GOP candidate, David Vitter, in a tight race in November.
