Michael Steel joined the Business Roundtable as senior vice president of communications. Steel most recently was a partner at Hamilton Place Strategies and previously served as press secretary for former House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).
Anna Yu joined Google LLC as government affairs and public policy manager. She most recently served as a Democratic professional staff member for the House Energy and Commerce Committee and previously served as senior policy adviser to Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.).
H&R Block hired Tom Gannon as chief government relations officer. Gannon most recently led federal affairs at Mastercard Inc. and previously was a senior legislative representative at the Credit Union National Association.
American Airlines Inc. promoted Nate Gatten to senior vice president for corporate affairs and chief government affairs officer. Gatten joined the company in 2017 as senior vice president for government affairs and previously led lobbying efforts at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Arnold & Porter promoted David Skillman to managing director. Skillman joined the firm in 2019 as senior associate and previously served as deputy chief of staff and counsel to Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.).
David Reid was elected to the board of directors of Q Street, a professional association of LGBTQ lobbyists. Reid is currently a senior policy adviser at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP and serves on the board of the LGBTQ Victory Fund.
Todd Halstead rejoined the National Association of Theatre Owners as director of government relations and strategy development. Halstead most recently was executive director of the Independent Cinema Alliance.
