Suzanne Beall will join Amazon as senior manager of public policy. Beall most recently was vice president of government relations and public policy and counsel at the International Franchise Association. She previously served as legislative assistant for former Rep. Sandy Levin (D-Mich.).

AJ Jones II will join Starbucks Corp. as senior vice president for global communications and public affairs. Jones most recently was a senior executive at Vanda Pharmaceuticals and previously served as policy director for House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.). 

Noah Marine joined Invariant as a director in the firm’s financial services practice. Marine most recently was assistant vice president of federal government relations at Travelers Insurance and previously served as legislative director for Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.).

The American Forest and Paper Association hired Eric Steiner as vice president of government affairs. Steiner most recently led lobbying efforts at Elanco Animal Health and previously served as Republican professional staffer for the Senate Agriculture Committee.

Phase 2 Consulting named Cyd McKenna as its new president. McKenna most recently was chief of staff at The Collective PAC and previously ran the Rhode Island Democratic Party.

Carlos Jackson joined Cornerstone Government Affairs as a lobbyist. Jackson previously held government relations roles for America’s Essential Hospitals, the American Hospital Association and the American Nurses Association.

Kirkland & Ellis hired Kyle DeYoung as a partner in its government, regulatory and internal investigations practice. DeYoung most recently was a partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft and previously served as a senior counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
