Former Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Carol Browner joined Covington & Burling LLP as senior of counsel. Browner led the EPA during the Clinton administration and served as director of the Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy under former President Obama.

Sarah Young joined Cassidy and Associates as a senior vice president. Young previously served as a bipartisan professional staff member for the House Appropriations Committee for two decades.

Lobbying firm A1.9 Strategies LLC hired Scott Nance as a vice president. Nance most recently served as Democratic staff director for the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security and previously served as an aide to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.).

Shawn Bone will join Verizon as director of federal regulatory public policy. Bone previously served as Democratic senior counsel for communications and technology policy for the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.

Van Scoyoc Associates hired Thad Inge as a vice president. Inge most recently led government relations at Paychex Inc. and previously served as associate administrator of the Small Business Administration’s Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs in the Obama administration.

Alvin Chan joined Samsung Electronics America as senior director for public policy. He most recently led government relations at HP and previously served as policy counsel to former Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah).

Winning Strategies Washington hired James Gee as of counsel. Gee most recently served as chief of staff to Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.J.).
