Former Rep. Martha Roby (R-Ala.) joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP as a senior adviser in the governmental affairs and economic development practice groups. Roby served in Congress from 2011 to 2021.

Squire Patton Boggs hired Caren Street, chief of staff to Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), who will join the firm as principal in May. The firm also hired Rodney Emery, who was named a principal after being senior vice president at Mercury for nearly three years. Before that he was a lobbyist at Madison Group. Thomas Andrews also joined as a principal. He previously was the White House special assistant for legislative affairs under former President Trump and before that was an aide to ex-Speakers Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and John Boehner (R-Ohio).

Mayer Brown LLP hired Jonathan Becker as a partner in the firm’s public policy, regulatory and political law practice. Becker previously worked at Greenberg Traurig LLP for three years and before that worked at Invariant, Delta Air Lines and as chief of staff to Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.).

The American Association of Airport Executives announced that Andrew Pantino has joined the advocacy team as director of government affairs. Pantino was previously policy adviser to ex-Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) for four years. Before that, he was legislative correspondent to ex-Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.).

Wrede Smith was named an antitrust partner at McGuireWoods LLP. He previously was a senior associate at Arnold & Porter Kay Scholer for more than five years and before that was  a trial attorney in the antitrust division of the Justice Department during the Obama administration.

Save the Children announced that Christy Gleason, policy adviser to Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), will become executive director of Save the Children Action Network, effective Monday. She will also be vice president of policy, advocacy and campaigns for Save the Children.

Michael Starr Hopkins was named a senior vice president at Firehouse Strategies. He previously was national press secretary for former Rep. John Delaney’s (D-Md.) 2020 presidential campaign and is the founder of the John Lewis Bridge Project.
