Shumaker Advisors announced that former Rep. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.) has joined the firm as a lobbyist. Sanford, who served two terms as governor of South Carolina, will work in the Charleston, S.C., offices.

Bracewell LLP announced that Yasmin Nelson, former senior policy adviser to then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), joined the firm’s Policy Resolution Group as a senior principal. Nelson worked for Harris for four years and before that was a professional staff member for Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee. She also served as an aide to Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.).

Cherie Wilson was named managing director of government affairs at Delta Air Lines. She previously was director of federal affairs at General Motors, where she worked for nearly six years.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced the launch of a state and local policy initiative that will be led by Tom Wickham, the former parliamentarian of the House of Representatives. Wickman worked in the House for 26 years.

BGR Group announced that Fred Turner, former chief of staff to Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), will join the firm as senior vice president in its international affairs practice. Turner worked for Menendez for more than seven years and before that was chief of staff for the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, from 2007 to 2014.

Christina Lotspike will join the federal affairs team at Instacart on April 5. She previously was vice president of technology and transportation advocacy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she worked for more than seven years.

Brittany Hernandez was named executive vice president at Crossroads Strategies. She was previously senior director of policy and advocacy at the Muscular Dystrophy Association and before that was deputy director of federal affairs at March of Dimes and a senior legislative assistant to Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.).
