Leticia Mederos joined Clark Hill PLC as a senior managing director in the government and regulatory affairs practice. She previously was chief of staff to Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) for over three years and before that was director of labor policy for Democrats on the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee for five years.

Lauren Cancienne was named assistant vice president of government relations at Principal Financial Group. She previously spent over eight years with Prudential Financial as vice president of external affairs and before that worked at Visa, the lobbying firm Williams and Jensen PLLC, and for ex-Rep. Connie Mack (R-Fla.).

Husch Blackwell Strategies hired Karen Wayland as a special adviser for energy and environment in its federal practice group. She is currently interim CEO of GridWise Alliance and previously served as senior adviser to the deputy secretary at the Department of Energy during the Obama administration.

Bully Pulpit Interactive announced Xochitl Hinojosa is joining as a managing director. She previously was communications director for the Democratic National Committee for over four years and before that was senior managing director at the Labor Department under former President Obama.

Joshua Odintz joined Holland & Knight LLP as a partner. He previously was a partner at Baker McKenzie for over nine years and before that was senior adviser for tax reform to the assistant secretary at the Treasury Department during the Obama administration. He also served as tax counsel for Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee.

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP named Sean Callahan a senior policy adviser. Callahan previously was deputy chief of staff to Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) and before that was deputy chief of staff and legislative director to former Rep. Mark Takai (D-Hawaii).

Denise Horn, senior director of inclusion marketing and communications at WarnerMedia, is joining Precision Strategies as managing principal of communications. She previously was director of African American media for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and was assistant press secretary at the Department of Education during the Obama administration.
