Invariant named Sam Love a director at the firm. He previously was legislative assistant to ex-Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) and before that was policy director for Gardner’s 2014 Senate campaign.
Ferox Strategies announced that Kamal Patel, former deputy chief of staff for ex-Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Texas), has joined the firm as a director. Patel started working for Thornberry in 2016 and previously served as his legislative director.
The Alpine Group named Keenan Reed, former chief of staff to Rep. Donald McEachin (D-Va.), a vice president. Reed worked for McEachin for nearly three years and before that was Florida political director for Hillary for America. She is also co-founder of the Black Women’s Congressional Alliance.
Kevin Benacci joined Targeted Victory‘s corporate practice as a vice president to help build out the firm’s cybersecurity practice. He previously was chief external affairs officer at the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency under President Trump. Before that, he was chief of staff to the Ohio Treasurer of State and was deputy chief of staff and communications director for Rep. Dave Joyce (R-Ohio).
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP appointed Christopher Cushing to lead its Washington, D.C., office. He will continue to serve as the national team leader for federal and state policy, a role he has had since January 2020. Cushing joined Nelson Mullins in 2009.
