Claude Chafin joined Invariant’s communications and public affairs team. Chafin previously was communications director for the House Armed Services Committee Republicans. Before that, he was communications director for then-Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.).
Invariant also hired Maia Hunt Estes, former chief of staff to Rep. Anthony Brown (D-Md.). Estes previously was director of policy and legislative affairs for Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D).
The American Investment Council hired Dillon Iwu as director of government affairs. Dillon previously was senior field representative for Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.).
Kimberly Ross will join the American Council of Life Insurers as senior vice president of federal government relations, starting Dec. 21. Ross is chief of staff and chief counsel to Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio).
Managed Funds Association announced Andrew Lowenthal will join the organization as head of global policy, effective in 2021. Lowenthal is chief of staff to Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) and previously co-founded the lobbying firm Porterfield, Lowenthal, Fettig & Sears.
Intel announced Angel Preston joined the company as policy director of autonomous vehicles and internet of things. She previously was director of safety at the Alliance for Automotive Innovation.
Narrative Strategies named Jill Farquharson, communications director for the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Democrats, as a director.
