Forbes Tate Partners named Rich Lopez, previously director of federal and administration affairs at General Motors, to its government affairs team. The firm also named Jerri Ann Henry a vice president. She was previously executive director of Log Cabin Republicans.
Molly Millerwise Meiners was named a partner at the strategy advisory firm Brunswick Group. She previously was chief communications officer at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and before that was principal deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the Treasury Department under President Trump.
Dentons announced that Michael Drobac and Gregory Walden have joined the firm’s public policy practice as a principal and a partner, respectively. Both lobbyists were previously senior advisers at McGuireWoods Consulting. Before that, Drobac was a senior policy adviser at Akin Gump for three years and was director of government relations at Netflix Inc. Walden was previously associate counsel to President George H.W. Bush and was ethics counsel for his transition.
Shannon Beckham, former communications adviser to Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), is joining Schmidt Futures as a communications strategist. Schmidt Futures was co-founded by former Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt and his wife, Wendy Schmidt, a businesswoman and philanthropist. Beckman was previously communications director and national spokesperson for Bennet’s 2020 presidential campaign and was a speechwriter and policy associate for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Stephen Spaulding, former senior elections counsel for Democrats on the House Administration Committee, was named senior adviser to the president at Common Cause. He will also be senior counsel for public policy and government affairs at the organization. Before working on Capitol Hill, Spaulding was chief of strategy and external affairs at Common Cause.
