Doyle Bartlett, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. Bill McCollum (R-Fla.), and Chris McCannell, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.), among others, will work on the account.
HEALTH CARE. The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance hired Monument Advocacy to work on issues related to health care, cancer research, Medicare payment systems, treatment costs and care access for cancer patients. John Murray, former communications director for ex-Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.); Kimberly Ellis, former legislative director to Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas); and John Mulligan, former chief of staff to Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.), are among those who will work on the account.
Ascension, a health care system, hired McDermott+Consulting to work on issues relating to health care data management and privacy. Rodney Whitlock, former health policy director to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), will work on the account.
ANIMALS. Crissy Field Dog Group, a California-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting and advocating for responsible dog ownership, hired K&L Gates to work on issues related to dog walking management plans. Former Reps. James Walsh (R-N.Y.) and Jeff Denham (R-Calif.), among others, will work on the account.
MANUFACTURING. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company hired A1.9 Strategies to work on Defense Department support for strategic development and nonmetal material solutions. Michael Higdon, former chief of staff to Rep. Hal Rogers (R-Ky.), will work on the account.
