•Michael W. Lamach, chairman and CEO of Ingersoll Rand, will be chair of the National Association of Manufacturers’s board of directors. He succeeds David Seaton, who stepped down as CEO of Fluor Corporation in May. Jim Fitterling, CEO of Dow Chemical, will be vice chair.
•CompTIA, a trade association for the global technology industry, named Cinnamon Rogers executive vice president for public advocacy. Rogers was previously the senior vice president of government affairs at the Telecommunications Industry Association.
{mosads}•Elizabeth Hyman is the new chief executive of the XR Association, a trade group representing manufacturers in the virtual reality industries. She previously was executive vice president of public advocacy at CompTIA.
•The Berkeley Research Group’s energy practice is adding members from the advisory firm Galway Group to increase its expertise in natural gas and power generation, among other issues. Galway has offices in Houston, London and Singapore.
•Luke Bolar, former chief of staff to ex-Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) and most recently senior vice president at Edelman, will be managing director for external affairs at ClearPath.
•Blue Engine Message & Media and JDA Frontline, which merged to form a new bipartisan agency in October, unveiled a new brand and name, Seven Letter. Seven Letter is a reference to the seven-letter words the firm uses to describe its work.
{mossecondads}•Israel Hernandez, former executive vice president and head of international corporate affairs for HNA Group, was named director of government affairs and head of Latin American government affairs at SoftBank Group International and the SoftBank Latin American Fund. He previously was senior adviser to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and acting under secretary of Commerce for international trade. He will be based in
Miami.
•Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America) announced that Melissa Merrick will be its next president and CEO. She is currently a senior epidemiologist at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She will start at PCA America on July 15.
