• Lindsay A. Punzenberger has joined Venn Strategies as an assistant vice president. She was an aide to Rep. Tom Petri (R-Wis.) and has worked with the House Education and Labor Committee. Before working for Petri, Punzenberger worked at Coenen/Swandby Associates, a Madison-based government relations and association management firm.
• Gordon Johndroe has joined APCO Worldwide as a vice president in the firm’s Washington office. Johndroe is a former spokesman for the National Security Council and former White House deputy press secretary during the George W. Bush administration. He also worked as director of strategic communications and planning at the State Department, press secretary to first lady Laura Bush and press secretary for the Homeland Security Department.
• Marne Levine has been hired by Facebook as its new vice president of public policy. Levine is the chief of staff of the National Economic Council in the White House. Previously, she worked as senior White House aide Larry Summers’s chief of staff. She also has worked in the Office of Legislative Affairs and Public Liaison at the Treasury Department.
• Chris Green has been hired by the David All Group. Green will direct technical efforts and provide technically focused business support for all of the firm’s clients. Green comes to the firm from Innova Partners, where he was the manager of network engineering.
• Blank Rome has hired Singleton B. McAllister, Weldon J. Rougeau and Ronald F. Thomas II from LeClairRyan and will be in the firm’s Washington office, where McAllister will be a partner and Rougeau and Thomas will work as counsel in the firm’s government-relations group. McAllister has also worked as a partner at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo and was general counsel to the United States Agency for International Development. Rougeau is a former counsel with the government relations group at Arent Fox and a past president of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Thomas was special counsel at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough and was a deputy assistant secretary for policy at the Veterans Affairs Department during the Bush administration.
