CORONAVIRUS RELIEF. The National Retail Federation hired Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck to work on issues related to coronavirus relief legislation. David Cohen, former professional staff member on the House Financial Services Committee, and Travis Norton, former counsel to Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), will work on the account.

 

Transportation company Uber hired Forbes Tate to work on issues related to the coronavirus relief package. Jeff Strunk, former deputy floor director to ex-Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), and Cindy Brown, former chief of staff to Rep. Ron Kind (D-Wis.), will work on the account.

 

Government relations firm HMS Associates, on behalf of the San Francisco Arts Alliance, hired Holland & Knight to work on a coronavirus supplemental package. Leslie Pollner, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. Suzanne Kosmas (D-Fla.), will work on the account.

 

The Airline Service Providers Association hired Hannegan Landau Poersch & Rosenbaum Advocacy to work on aviation grants and loan funding implementation in the coronavirus relief package. Timothy Hannegan, former assistant director and auditor in the U.S. General Accounting Office, will work on the account.

 

HEALTH CARE. Memora Health, a health care software development company, hired CGCN Group to work on issues related to health care and technology. Sam Geduldig, former senior adviser to then-Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), and Mike Nielsen, former professional staff member on the Senate Banking Committee, will work on the account. 

 

Manufacturing company 3M Company hired Marshall & Popp to work on legislative and regulatory issues related to the manufacturing of respirators as well as liability protection during health emergencies, among other issues. The firm’s founders, Hazen Marshall, former policy director to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), and Monica Popp, former chief of staff to Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas), will work on the account.

 

Medical research company 50 Cities hired the Livingston Group to work on infectious disease prevention. Former Rep. Robert Livingston (R-La.) and J. Allen Martin, former chief of staff to Livingston, will work on the account.
