• HEALTH. Valisure, a Connecticut-based analytical pharmacy company, hired Baker Donelson to work on issues involving the safety of the U.S. drug supply chain. Former Sen. Thomas Daschle (D-S.D.), among others, will work on the account.

The Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on pediatric cardiomyopathy, hired Crowell & Moring to work on education and awareness on cardiomyopathy, cardiomyopathy surveillance and clinical research, and a Defense Department peer-reviewed medical research program. Jim Flood, former counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, will work on the account.

• TRADE. Kalsec Inc., a food manufacturer, hired Crossroads Strategies to work on tariff exclusions. Salim Alameddin, former legislative aide to Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas); Chris Miller, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Wash.); and Jason Gleason, former chief of staff to Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.), among others, will work on the account.

• FINANCIAL SERVICES. The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, a self-regulatory organization, hired Williams and Jensen to work on the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board Reform Act of 2019. Joel Oswald, former professional staff on the Senate Banking Committee, among others, will work on the account.

• INFRASTRUCTURE. Yellow Creek State Inland Port in Mississippi hired Watkins & Eager to work on policies related to infrastructure development. Manning McPhillips, a former deputy director for the 2008 Republican National Convention, will work on the account.
