Ellison wishes Happy Ramadan in tweet
One of the two Muslim members of Congress took to his Twitter on Friday to wish fellow Muslims a prayerful Ramadan.
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) dispatched a Ramadan message to followers, urging them to fast while thinking about peace and justice in the world.
Happy Ramadan everyone! Starts tomorrow in N. America. Be fasting with others around the world. Thinking about wellness, peace, justice.
Ramadan is a month-long period on the Islamic calendar of fasting, prayer, and religious study.
The other Muslim member of Congress is Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.).
