Wamp says personal ‘tweats’ give him campaign edge
Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Zach Wamp (R-Tenn.) said that Twitter gives him an edge in his campaign, saying that the microblogging services is “like a speech w/out notes” providing him with a means of “direct comm” with his voters.
Wamp tweeted:
Twitter is medium for direct commun from candidate. All tweats frm me personally. No staffers allwd. Like speech w/out notes. Advantage Wamp
The Tennessee is one of many candidates running for Gov. Phil Bredesen’s term-limited position in 2010.
