NYC Mayor Bloomberg to personally tweet Sunday

Staff for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I) announced that he will personally tweet on Sunday. Members of Bloomberg’s mayoral staff usually tweet on his account.

The news came through Twitter on Friday:

Mike Bloomberg will be personally tweeting all day Sun 8/9 @mikebloomberg #followfriday http://bit.ly/35zg4E (please RT)

Bloomberg will also appear on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday to discuss the economy and the impact of the stimulus package on the front lines.

“As our 18,000 facebook supporters and 6,000 twitter followers already know, Mike Bloomberg himself has not been posting status updates and tweets. But that’s changing this weekend. On Sunday August 9th, Mike will personally tweet for the day,” said the linked release.

We hope this experiment lasts for more than one day!
