Vitter justifies opposition to ‘Sotomayer’
Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter joined with 30 other GOP colleagues in opposing Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s Supreme Court confirmation. Though, Vitter was expected to vote no, he took to Twitter to justify his decision:
Voted no on Sotomayer based on her 2nd Amend views and activist record. Judges should be umpires and not pick sides based on personal bias.
If Vitter has a bone to pick with one of the soon-to-be Justice’s decisions, he had better learn the correct spelling of her last name so the letter gets to the right place!
