Dodd links cancer diagnosis with healthcare debate
Following a statement on his diagnosis with prostate cancer, Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) said that “I’m going to be fine. We caught this early thanks to my great health insurance,” tying his ailment to the ongoing debate over healthcare reform.
I’d like to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I’m going to be fine. We caught this early thanks to my great health insurance.
My hope is that we will pass the Health Care bill so that every American can have the coverage they need.
The acting chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee will have surgery to remove the cancer over the August recess.
