Grassley spells ‘Pelosi’ right, decries House health bill price tag

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) seems to have taken the DNC’s advice on the correct spelling of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s last name.

Last week, the DNC tweeted at Grassley that he should “learn how to spell ‘Pelosi’,” after referring to the California Democrat as ‘Pelosie’ in multiple tweets.

The ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee tweeted:

HealthReform needs rein in spendin Already knew PelosiBill wld increas deficit 239B first 10yrs Now CBO sez it wld BALLOON aftr 10yr1.6TRILL

Grassley’s recent tweets have ratcheted up the rhetoric on the heathcare reform bill. Last week, Grassley called the legislation “ObamaCare” and labeled the House bill a “Govt takeovr of healthCare.”

The AP also reported yesterday that Grassley’s Senate Finance Committee was extremely close to dropping the public option from its version of the bill.
