RNC stays on offensive, tweets healthcare questions for WH
During his primetime press conference Wednesday, President Barack Obama insisted that healthcare reform must pass quickly because Americans have been asking him “can you help?”
On Thursday, the Republican National Committee used Twitter to pose their own questions for the Obama administration in lieu of an online healthcare chat the White House is hosting this afternoon.
The tweet indicates that the RNC is using all means to remain on the offensive against the Democratic healthcare reform proposal currently sitting in the House and Senate.
The RNC tweeted:
WH health care chat (3pm)- ask WH: How much will my taxes go up? How will govt make decisions on who gets what care? http://bit.ly/6KZTk
President Obama has used his bully pulpit to advance his healthcare agenda over the past month. Today, he will visit the Cleveland Clinic to praise the esteemed facility as a “role model” for effective healthcare. He is also scheduled to hold a town hall meeting in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
Obama also held a town hall in Annandale, Va. in late June during which he took questions from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
