Palin previews farewell address on Twitter

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) gave her tweeps a sneak peek at her farewell address on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

Palin is slated to leave office on Sunday after shocking the political world with by announcing her resignation July 3.

Palin tweeted Tuesday:

Riding 2 Kenai;writing last Govs speech on way;country music streaming & countryside screaming inspiration 4 pro-developmnt + pro-enviro msg

In that speech I’ll share gratefulness for honor of serving& speak to AKs destiny that incl contribution of energy/innovation/security to US

Look for the address to have a high profile; Palin has been coy regarding her future political ambitions, but many observers predict she will remain on the national political scene. Earlier this month, a Rasmussen Poll showed that GOPers still viewed Palin as a potential presidential candidate in 2012.

One topic Plain talked about has some sensitive political implications. Energy policy played a major role in the 2008 presidential election. Palin, who was the GOP vice presidential nominee, famously clashed with presidential nominee John McCain on drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
