Ed-Labor pulls an all-nighter
As anyone who’s been on a deadline can attest, all-nighters are rarely any fun.
Some lawmakers on the House Education and Labor Committee — as well as their staffs — can attest to that Friday morning, after an all-night session to mark-up the healthcare bill making its way rapidly through House committees this week.
One lawmaker seemed less-than-thrilled with the grueling schedule, registering his dissatisfaction on Twitter.
Rep. G.T. Thompson (R-Pa.) tweeted Friday:
Ed/Labor healthcare bill markup to vote after 20 hour all-night session ending at 6 AM this morning. #rs #healthcare #tcot #handsoff
