ACES vote delayed

Chief Deputy Whip Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has suggested that voting cap-and-trade legislation may be pushed back.

He tweeted:

Speaker Pelosi changing course and not debating national energy tax now. May come up later today.

The House appears to be voting on a number of Republican amendments on a Department of Interior appropriations bill. An e-mail from a member of House Minority Leader John Boehner’s staff indicates these votes will take approximately 45 minutes. However, the e-mail said “the exact details of today’s schedule are subject to modification.”

UPDATED [11:53am]: Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) tweeted:

Democrats delay cap and trade until later this evening. They must be hearing from their constituents!

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) tweeted:

Looks like Dems are short votes on Cap & Trade. Voting Interior now instead of scheduled C&T

UPDATED [12:06pm]: Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan.) tweeted:

Cap and trade vote postponed until later today
