Tauscher departs for State
Rep. Ellen Tauscher (D-Calif.) is set to depart the House today to take up a new post at the State Department and her colleagues are wishing her well.
Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-Fla.) tweeted:
is wishing Rep. Ellen Tauscher well at the State Department. Loss for the Congress gain for State.
Yesterday the Senate confirmed Tauscher as undersecretary of state for arms control and international security.
