A big day for Tom DeLay

After being out of the headlines for quite a while, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) re-entered the limelight in a big way today.

The Texas Republican on Monday created a Twitter and used it to confirm that he would be appearing on the ABC reality show “Dancing with the Stars.”

He tweeted:

Well, it’s official … I am going to compete on Dancing with the Stars! This is going to be so much fun. I will need your support. #dwts

DeLay, who laso served as Majority Whip, showed that he could still get his supporters in line; he already has 917 followers on Twitter.

FamousDC first reported DeLay would be on the show yesterday.

The only question that remains: Will DeLay be this good?
