Two lawmakers have taken to Twitter to commemorate the life of Eunice Kennedy Shriver who passed away early Tuesday at the age of 88.
Rep. Tom Latham (R-Iowa) tweeted:
Remembering and honoring the life and work of Eunice Kennedy Shriver as an advocate for the rights of the disabled.
Former congressman and current gubernatorial candidate John Kasich (R-Ohio) tweeted:
eunice shriver created special olympics. I told her that she was an angel for her work. She had worldwide impact for these efforts.
Shriver was the founder of the Special Olympics. She was the sister of former President John F. Kennedy and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy.
