Gingrich: Pelosi/Hoyer ‘un-American’ op-ed shows their ‘isolation’

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R) said that an op-ed critical of town hall protests written by current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) demonstrates their “isolation.”

Gingrich tweeted on Monday night:

The pelosi hoyer op ed in usa today is vey sad. They suggest criticizing health bill is “unamerican”.their isolation is hard to believe.

The former speaker also echoed Rep. Tom Price’s (R-Ga.) comments calling the op-ed “very sad.”

“Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades,” Pelosi and Hoyer wrote in the USA Today yesterday.
