President Barack Obama travels to Mexico today to participate in the two-day North American Summit with the leaders of Mexico and Canada. When traveling overseas, Marine One typically takes the president from the South Lawn to Andrews Air Force Base, where he boards Air Force One.
According to the AP’s Phil Elliott, Marine One must travel faster than the speed of sound. He tweeted Sunday:
Marine One is wheels-up from the South Lawn to Andrews.
And… Marine One is now wheels down at Andrews Air Force Base. Next up: Four hour, 10 minute flight to Mexico for the President.
Check out the difference in the tweets’ time stamps, only two minutes!
Considering Elliott’s timing, who needs those new presidential choppers?!
