Issa: Never enough time
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s ranking member, is finding himself just out of time at this morning’s hearing.
Issa and other committee members have been grilling Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke over the Fed’s role in facilitating a merger between Bank of America and Merrill Lynch late last year.
Issa has accused Bernanke of forcing a deal after Bank of America almost backed out, even going as far as to “cover up” details from shareholders and regulators that might have scuttled the acquisition, Issa charged yesterday.
Apparently, Issa’s far from satisfied with his ability to get answers at today’s hearing.
He tweeted early Thursday afternoon:
Here with Chairman Bernanke Can’t get enough time to ask what needs to be asked and ansered
