Thune has ‘concerns’ about Sotomayor
Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) shed some light on how he will vote on Judge Sotomayor’s Supreme Court confirmation.
He tweeted:
Met w/Judge Sotomayor yesterday. Have concerns re: her views on 2nd amdt / judicial activism / making policy from bench. http://bit.ly/h6Qwa
Thune links to Supreme Court Watch, a conservative judicial blog. Yesterday, the junior senator told the Argus Leader (South Dakota) he would have an open mind on Sotomayor’s confirmation, but the paper noted that Thune sounded as if he would vote against it.
