Over Sixty Years Later, Congress Honors Female Aviators
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) appears energized by a bill she is currently sponsoring:
Walking to House chamber to debate my bill that honors women pilots of ww2. First female aviators in US military history. Gold medals 4 ’em!
The link to the bill is here, and yes, the pilots will in fact be awarded Congressional Gold Medals. Something tells us that the “debate” won’t feature as much partisan sniping as health-care reform.
