Stephanopoulos kicks off ‘Twitterview’ with Issa

ABC Chief Washington Correspondent George Stephanopoulos opened this afternoon’s “Twitterview” with California Rep. Darrell Issa (R).

He tweeted:

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which Issa chairs, is investigating Countrywide Financial on accusations that the company provided discounted home loans to elected officials. Issa, who wants broader authority to subpoena lawmakers, tweeted before the “Twitterview:”

Speaking to Chamber – We’re not getting a subpoena because D’s don’t want to out D’s who got sweetheart deals ala Chris Dodd.
