Is Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) taking this whole “recess” metaphor too far? The freshman couldn’t be more excited to jet out of DC and return home.
He tweeted:
Schools out, Schools out, the Speaker’s let the Congresscritters out! … August recess begins . En route back to Colorado.
Senators might be jealous of their colleagues in the House; their recess doesn’t begin until the end of next week.
And “Congresscritters,” that’s a first.
