Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) said that he will take up President Barack Obama’s offer to go over the healthcare reform legislation “line-by-line.”
On Wednesday, Obama said he would welcome any congressman to the White House to review the legislation.
Price tweeted:
I’ve accepted President Obama’s invitation to come by the White House to review the Democrat health care plan ‘line by line.’
“When we come back in September, I will be available to answer any question that members of Congress have,” Obama said.
“If they want to come over to the White House and go over line by line what’s going on, I will be happy to do that,” he added.
Congressional Republicans and some centrist Democrats criticized Obama’s August deadline saying it did not give them enough time to read the bill.
